Davidson Community Foundation appreciates your support! There are several ways to give and invest in the long-term strength of our community. We welcome gifts in a variety of forms and are happy to assist with an approach that works best for you.

Checks

Please make checks payable to Davidson Community Foundation and mail to:

Please be sure to include your address, email and phone so that we can acknowledge your generosity and update our records. This will also help us keep you informed about DCF’s programs. Please also let us know if your gift is in honor or memory of someone and if notification of your gift is needed.

ACH Transfer

For an ACH transfer, which sends a gift of money drawn from your bank account directly to DCF’s account, please email DCF at info@davidsoncommunityfoundation.org for information to set up this transfer and so we can be sure that you are properly credited for your generosity.

For a gift through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

Recommend a gift from your Donor Advised Fund. Select Davidson Community Foundation as the beneficiary. EIN-33–2739411 Please notify DCF at info@davidsoncommunityfoundation.org that you have set up this transfer so we can be sure that you are properly credited for your generosity.

Gifts of Stock

For stock transfers, which sends a gift of stocks drawn from you directly to DCF’s security account, please email DCF at info@davidsoncommunityfoundation.org for information on transfer instructions and so we can be sure that you are properly credited for your generosity.

Making a Gift from Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)

If you are 70 1/2 or older, it may be in your best financial interest to use funds from your IRAs or 401ks to make a gift to DCF. Gifts donated directly to DCF or other charities allow you to use these funds without counting them as income for federal tax purposes. If you are 73 or older, a gift can help satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution amount. Please have your IRA custodian direct your gift to:

Davidson Community Foundation Endowment

Thanks to a generous gift in 2024 from Davidson residents Bruce and Sally McMillen, DCF established an Endowment to help our organization make an impact in Davidson for generations to come. The Foundation For The Carolinas continues to hold and invest our endowment funds. Each year we utilize up to 4% of the return earned by the endowment. DCF hopes to grow its endowment significantly so that it can continue its work for years to come. Gifts of any size may be added to the endowment. The minimum gift to establish a new named endowment fund is $10,000.
