Davidson Community Foundation, established by local residents, aims to support and catalyze non-profit organizations directly serving the Davidson community in order to tackle large-scale projects and critical needs. Led by a diverse board of advisors composed of local community leaders, DCF is designed to significantly expand local philanthropic efforts and direct the funding where it is most needed.
Currently, the most critical need is for Emergency Funds for housing, food, utilities, transportation and other urgent needs among families who live in Davidson and the surrounding community who are experiencing financial crisis due to the effects of COVID-19 on jobs and lives. The need is especially acute as we face the cold and bleak winter months ahead, in the face of rising COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths. Please help DCF support local non-profits that serve our community members who are suffering and need a lifeline.
“There but for the grace of God go I.”
The Davidson Community Foundation’s mission is to enhance the lives of residents of Davidson, now and for generations to come, by working with local leaders and donors to build and deploy a community fund to address Davidson’s most pressing needs. This volunteer-driven initiative is designed to substantially expand local philanthropy and direct it to where it’s most needed.
